Additional Qualifications for NAWI Graz Students

Since winter semester 2006, TU Graz and the University of Graz have been jointly responsible for the professional education of students in the fields of Bioscience, Chemistry, ESES, Mathematics and Physics within the framework of NAWI Graz.

In order to round off the high-quality specialist education even further, NAWI Graz students have access to the following courses:

 

Advanced study program "Leadership - acting responsibly in society and business"

This extension programme offers advanced NAWI Graz Master's students (and other students) the opportunity to prepare for entry into professional life and to acquire interdisciplinary, work-related and personality-related skills. The extension programme focuses on skills in the areas of decision-making, strategy and planning, project management, self-management, economics and financing, marketing, communication, networking, leadership and management as well as digitalization.   • Duration: 2 semesters /45 ECTS
  • Admission restriction: certain progress in studies (end of Master's degree), completion of TIMEGATE courses

NAWI Graz master's modules

These interdisciplinary modules for all NAWI Graz master's students impart valuable knowledge and skills in the form of free elective subject catalogs:

The following NAWI Graz master's modules are currently in place:

  • Legal Foundations "Contract Law and Liability" (only in the winter semester)
    Contents: General information on contract law, conclusion of contracts, special features of general terms and conditions, grounds for nullity, default, warranty, basic concepts of tort law, product liability, basic principles of property acquisition. LINK
  • TIMEGATE (Transfer Initiative for Management and Entrepreneurship Basics, Awareness, Training and Employability)
    Content: Getting to know business perspectives and acquiring practice-oriented skills for future entry into the job market or the step into self-employment. The courses are taught by highly experienced external experts from business, science and society. Topics include the basics of business administration, personality and perspective and practice transfer. Detailed information on the courses can be found here.
  • NAWI Graz master's module "Chemicals-People-Environment" - Seminar REACH (English)
    Contents: Imparting valuable knowledge and skills for everyday working life. Specifically, the three topics are environmental legislation, the REACH regulation (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) and employee protection. Top-class lecturers from the field have been recruited as speakers. The seminar always takes place in the summer semester.
